Happy Stationery

Whilst being super busy with other stuff I've been trying to keep up my doodling.  If you follow me on Instagram (amyalisha) you will have seen some of these guys forming.  Not sure what I'll do with them yet but I do love them, they make me smile!  Hope you like them too!

By the way, I've been digging these pens lately, used them for the guys above.  They are meant for Japanese calligraphy but they make great drawing pens.  They are like a more rigid brush pen.  I have trouble making confident strokes with regular brush pens, my lines go a bit wobbly.  But these seem to have just enough give to give brush like lines without losing control.  Can wait to stock up on them at Itoya when I'm in Tokyo!

Gig Poster

Here's a poster I designed/illustrated for a great gig coming up.  It's a fantastic lineup, three artists I absolutely love... only problem being: I'll be in Tokyo when it's on! On the upside, I'll be in Tokyo!  And I'll be seeing my favourite band.  It's always the way though.

Anyhoo I'm really pleased with the design, spent ages tweaking it.  Now I need to stop looking at it because I keep seeing things I want to tweak!  

Hello friends, it's been a while!  I've been so busy here behind the scenes.  My husband's record label is growing bigger so we have moved in to a new office.  I work with him on the label as well as doing my own illustration stuff.  So I now have a new workspace, which is very nice.  I sit next to a window, so I get to watch the sunset every day!  It's been a bit of a shock to the system after working from home every day but it certainly has it's advantages, we have a lot more space in our tiny flat now!  Anyway, I thought I'd share some random photos I've taken lately.  I got the amazingly wonderful Fujifilm x100 (as a wedding present!) and it's sooo nice.  I'm really loving the photos from it.  I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful piece of equipment!  I've edited these with Snapspeed for Mac, which I'm also quite liking.
