Sunday Veggie Roast

I've got a new print up in my store!  I did this illustration on Sunday while these very ingredients were in my oven cooking away!  I hope you like it.

Clapham Common

Went for a quick outing to Clapham Common today to get some yarn, took a few snaps on the way.  The weather has been total pants for days and days and days!  The commercial signs of spring are everywhere, bulbs for sale, short dresses in the shops etc.  Meanwhile I'm still perched on top of the heater.  The sun is supposed to come out tomorrow but I'll believe it when I see it.

Happy Post Day

I received a few of my favourite things in the post from my mum in Australia today!

P.S. Have you voted for my tee design on threadless yet? Only three more days of voting!

Help me out and vote!

Morning everyone!  As I mentioned earlier in the week, I've been working on a design for threadless.  Well it's up now for scoring, so get yourself over there and vote!

If you don't know about threadless, it's a very cool website that sells tee for grownups and babies/kids as well as cute onesies too!  The other cool thing about the site is that all their designs are submitted by people like me!  And unlike other crowdsourcing sites, the designers are fairly compensated. It's a great thing.

So if you could take just a couple of minutes to pop over to threadless to vote for my design, all you have to do is:
          -register (super quick)
          -click "i'd buy a tee"
          -click 5 to score it

The amount of votes you get in the first 24 hours matter so please do it as soon as you can!  Thank you thank you thank you!

Hey look! I told you I'd take pictures of my ceramic painting today!  I'm very happy with this mug I painted.  It amuses me greatly that it's pictures of mugs, ON A MUG.  Meta.  Or something.

Anyhoo I'm so happy with this little guy that I've popped him onto Etsy already, so go check it out

Catching Up

I've been thinking about blogging this week but I've been busy doing unphotographable things.  That sounds bad.  What I mean is, I've been working on an illustration that I can blog about yet.  And then we had to lend our camera to a friend which made me feel like someone told me I had to give away my child (I don't have a child so you can see how I have no perspective here..).  Also the dog ate my homework.

ANYWAY... I took these with my phone this afternoon.  I got this new app that pretends to be lomo an I quite like it.  And I'm sorry but in keeping with my crappiness I can't tell you what the app is called because the name and description are in KOREAN!  But I took a punt because the screenshot looked cool and there you have it.

Ok in other news I did do some painting on porcelain tonight and it looks rather lovely, so when the sun comes up tomorrow I will photograph it!  The mug, not the sun.

I've also been working on a couple of submissions for threadless, so expect to be harassed about voting for them shortly.  Take a sneak peak on my flickr if you like.

Gig detail

Last night went to see other half's band in a cute little village hall in Kelvedon, just outside London.

Happy Birthday

Today is my other half's birthday!  Gift giving and gift wrapping is one of my favourite things.  Sometimes I think other people's birthdays are more exciting for me than them...  here is a peek at the primary coloured tissue paper extravaganza that he woke up to this morning...

On a related note, yesterday I picked up Hello Sandwich's Gift Wrapping Zine and it's very cool.  Lots of cute ideas.  I recommend checking it out!

Kitchen Postcards

I finally decided to get some postcards of my kitchen printed up!  You can buy them in a set of four from my store.

On Saturday we went down (up, across?) to Bethnal Green to check out The Create Place's cute Valentine's Popup shop where some of my cards and brooches were being sold.

Also couldn't resist a quick wiz around the V & A Museum of Childhood which is just round the corner.  It's a weird feeling when you see a toy that you had as a kid but you haven't thought about for many, ahem, many, years.
